Overview

Joel Embiid is a Cameroonian professional basketball player for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was selected third overall by the 76ers in the 2014 NBA Draft. Embiid was born in Yaoundé, Cameroon, and began playing basketball in 2011. He moved to the United States in 2013 to play college basketball for the Kansas Jayhawks. In his lone season at Kansas, he was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and was a consensus first-team All-American.

Strengths

Embiid is a 7-foot center with a 7-foot-5 wingspan. He is an excellent rebounder and defender, and he is also a skilled offensive player. Embiid is a good scorer in the post, and he can also hit the occasional three-pointer. He is also a very good passer for his size.

Weaknesses
