Pacers Fall Short Despite Strong Performance

The Boston Celtics opened the 2024 Eastern Conference finals with a 133-128 overtime victory over the Indiana Pacers on Sunday. Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 38 points, shooting 8-of-13 from three-point range, while Malcolm Brogdon added 23 points and Marcus Smart contributed 22 points and 9 assists.

The Pacers were led by Tyrese Haliburton's 30 points and 10 assists, while Jalen Smith added 23 points and 14 rebounds. The Pacers erased a 13-point deficit in the fourth quarter to force overtime, but ultimately fell short.

Game 2 of the series is scheduled for Tuesday night in Boston.
